There was a knight, with huge lance
He wanted to stab from distance
But he hadn't skill
And he was ill
So all he could do, was dance.

    Not bad at all!
    There is a problem with the stress on 'distance' (unless you want to turn it into a joke). And articles (a / the) are missing.
